Roush Performance has unveiled its first-ever official, factory-orderable package for a Ram truck, sold directly through authorized Ram dealerships. Embellished with the historic Direct Connection nameplate, the package transforms a base Big Horn Crew Cab 4×4 equipped with the legendary 5.7L Hemi V8 into an aggressive, highly capable off-road and street-ready machine. Crucially, the upgrade achieves this transformation while keeping all original factory integration, towing capacities, and ADAS safety features completely intact.
Heavy-Duty Off-Road Performance
- Custom Suspension Lift: To conquer rugged terrain without sacrificing on-road manners, the truck is equipped with a 2-inch Roush coil-over lift featuring custom-tuned twin-tube hydraulic dampers. This setup significantly improves the truck’s approach, breakover, and departure angles while maintaining full towing capabilities.
- Aggressive Footprint: The package rides on 18-inch Roush-designed off-road wheels wrapped in rugged 33-inch General Grabber A/TX all-terrain tires, ensuring maximum bite on and off the asphalt.
- Active Exhaust System: Underneath, an active cat-back exhaust system allows the driver to select between open and closed modes on the fly, terminating in custom black-tipped Direct Connection exhaust pipes for an adjustable V8 rumble.
Styling and Cabin Upgrades
The exterior styling has been aggressively revised with a Roush high-flow front grille complete with integrated accent lighting, hood heat extractors, and custom fender flares featuring built-in lighting. A paint-matched front bumper is accented by bold red tow hooks, a matching red RAM emblem, Mopar off-road running boards, and exclusive Direct Connection graphics.
Inside, the cabin gets a premium upgrade with bespoke leather seating, branded floor mats, and prominent Direct Connection badging. These additions complement the Big Horn’s standard high-tech cabin, which features a 12-inch Uconnect infotainment system and premium audio.
Pricing, Warranty, and Availability
The Direct Connection package is priced at $15,995, requiring a qualifying donor Big Horn Crew Cab 4×4 truck (typically priced around $63,000 with required options like the 3.92 axle, electronic locking rear differential, and Level 2 equipment group). This brings the total starting MSRP to $78,960.
Roush backs all of its components with a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty. While the stock 5.7L Hemi V8 powertrain remains mechanically stock for now, supercharger options and power upgrades are expected to be announced in the near future.
