Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 16, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how WoomNews, operated by AsherLabs (“WoomNews,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit or interact with the WoomNews website.

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or wish to exercise a privacy right, contact us at asherlabs@gmail.com.

1. Information We Collect

Information collected automatically

When you visit the website, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical and usage information, including:

  • Your Internet Protocol (IP) address;
  • Browser type, device type, operating system, and language settings;
  • Pages viewed, links clicked, referring pages, and approximate visit duration;
  • General geographic information derived from an IP address;
  • Cookie identifiers, advertising identifiers, and similar online identifiers;
  • Information about how you arrived at and interacted with the website; and
  • Security, diagnostic, and server-log information.

Information you provide

WoomNews currently does not provide user accounts, public comments, newsletter registration, or contact forms. If you contact us directly by email, we may collect your name, email address, message content, and any other information you choose to provide.

Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your request.

2. How We Use Information

We may use the information described above to:

  • Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the website;
  • Publish and optimize automotive news and related content;
  • Measure traffic, readership, and content performance;
  • Understand how visitors find and use the website;
  • Display, measure, and improve advertising;
  • Create advertising audiences and measure conversions where permitted;
  • Respond to questions, complaints, and accessibility requests;
  • Detect fraud, misuse, attacks, and technical failures;
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms; and
  • Protect the rights, safety, and property of WoomNews, AsherLabs, our users, and others.

3. Current and Planned Analytics, Advertising, and Search Tools

WoomNews currently uses or may plan to use the following services:

  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — planned: to understand website traffic, visitor behavior, and content performance. If activated, GA4 may collect device, browser, approximate location, page-view, and interaction information using cookies or similar technologies.
  • Meta Pixel — planned: to measure the effectiveness of advertising, understand actions taken after viewing or clicking an advertisement, and create or refine advertising audiences. If activated, Meta may receive browser, device, page, cookie, and event information.
  • Google Search Console — planned or in use: to understand how the website appears and performs in Google Search. Search Console generally provides aggregated search-performance and technical information and does not ordinarily place a Search Console cookie in a visitor’s browser merely because that person visits WoomNews.
  • YouTube and other embedded media: articles may contain videos or other content hosted by third parties. Those providers may receive technical information and may use cookies or similar technologies when the content loads or when you interact with it.

At the date of this policy, a full cookie-consent system has not yet been configured. WoomNews does not intend to activate GA4 or Meta Pixel until appropriate consent controls are implemented where required by law. Embedded third-party content may still communicate with its provider when it loads or when you interact with it. The tools that are active may change over time, and this policy and the Cookie Policy should be updated when the configuration changes.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies such as pixels, tags, local storage, and software development tools. Some are necessary for security and website functionality. Others support analytics, advertising, audience measurement, and embedded content.

Once the consent system is implemented, it is intended to allow visitors to accept, reject, or customize non-essential technologies and later change their choice. Until that system is available, browser or device settings may be used to block or delete cookies, but those settings may not prevent every form of online tracking. For additional information, see our Cookie Policy.

5. Legal Bases for Processing

Where the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), UK GDPR, or similar law applies, we process personal data under one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Consent: for optional analytics, advertising, personalization, and certain embedded-media technologies where consent is required. These technologies should not be activated before the required consent is obtained;
  • Legitimate interests: to operate, secure, understand, and improve the website, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights;
  • Contract or pre-contractual steps: where processing is necessary to provide a service or respond to a request you initiated; and
  • Legal obligation: where we must process or retain information to comply with law.

6. How We Share Information

We may disclose information to:

  • Website hosting, content-delivery, security, backup, and technical-support providers;
  • Analytics, search, embedded-media, and advertising providers, including Google and Meta, when their services are used;
  • Professional advisers such as legal, accounting, or security consultants;
  • Government authorities, regulators, courts, or other parties where disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect legal rights; and
  • A purchaser, successor, or other relevant party in connection with a merger, sale, financing, restructuring, or transfer of all or part of the website or business.

We do not sell personal information for money. If advertising technologies are activated, their use may be treated as a “sale,” “sharing,” or use for targeted advertising under certain privacy laws. Where those laws apply, visitors will be able to use the applicable cookie or privacy controls, or contact us, to request an available opt-out.

7. International Data Transfers

WoomNews is operated by AsherLabs from Israel. Some service providers may process information in Israel, the United States, the European Economic Area, or other countries. Privacy and data-protection laws in those countries may differ from the laws where you live.

Where required, we rely on recognized legal safeguards for international transfers, such as adequacy decisions, contractual safeguards, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

8. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including security, analytics, legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution needs.

Retention periods vary by data type and provider. Server and security logs are generally kept for a limited period unless an incident requires longer retention. Analytics and advertising data are retained according to our selected settings and the applicable provider’s policies. Communications may be retained for up to 24 months after the last meaningful interaction, or longer where required for legal purposes.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to personal information held about you;
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • Request deletion of information;
  • Request restriction of, or object to, certain processing;
  • Withdraw consent at any time;
  • Request a portable copy of certain information;
  • Opt out of targeted advertising or certain forms of data sharing; and
  • Submit a complaint to the relevant privacy or data-protection authority.

To make a request, email asherlabs@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

10. Third-Party Websites and Content

WoomNews articles may link to external websites or include content supplied or hosted by manufacturers, news organizations, video platforms, social networks, and other third parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for the privacy, security, availability, or content of third-party services.

11. Children’s Privacy

WoomNews is a general-audience automotive news blog and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

12. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot promise absolute security.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the website, technology, providers, or legal requirements. The latest version will appear on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
