WoomNews, operated by AsherLabs, is committed to providing a website that can be used by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities.
Our Accessibility Goal
We aim to improve the website in accordance with the principles of Israeli Standard 5568 for web accessibility and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), with WCAG 2.1 Level AA used as our practical accessibility target. This statement describes our current efforts and is not a certification that every page or item of content fully conforms to that standard.
Accessibility is an ongoing process. Content, third-party services, and website features change over time, and we continue to review and improve the experience.
Accessibility Features
Accessibility features currently used on WoomNews include:
- A “Skip to content” link for keyboard and screen-reader users;
- Keyboard-accessible navigation and controls;
- Visible focus indicators for interactive elements;
- Semantic page landmarks, headings, navigation labels, and article structure;
- Responsive layouts that adapt to different screen sizes;
- Support for browser zoom and text resizing;
- Reduced or disabled animation when a user’s device requests reduced motion;
- Alternative text for editorial images where available; and
- Use of clear link text and readable content structure where practical.
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. Known or potential limitations include:
- Third-party videos, players, advertisements, social-media content, and embedded services that are not fully controlled by WoomNews;
- Older or externally supplied images that may have incomplete alternative text;
- Captions, transcripts, or audio descriptions that depend on the original video or media provider;
- Linked documents or external websites that do not meet the same accessibility standards; and
- Occasional content or interface issues introduced during ongoing website updates.
We work to address verified barriers within our control and to choose more accessible third-party options where reasonably possible.
Using the Website
Most modern browsers and operating systems include tools for increasing text size, zooming the page, changing contrast, using speech input, or enabling a screen reader. These settings are controlled through your browser, device, or assistive technology.

WoomNews includes links and media supplied or hosted by third parties. We cannot guarantee the accessibility of content that is not operated or controlled by AsherLabs, but we welcome reports about barriers and will consider available alternatives.

We periodically review templates, navigation, editorial content, images, and new website features. This statement will be updated when material accessibility changes are made.
