Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 16, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how WoomNews, operated by AsherLabs (“WoomNews,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit the WoomNews website.

This policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy. Questions can be sent to asherlabs@gmail.com.

Current implementation status: A full cookie-consent system has not yet been configured. Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel are planned services and should not be activated until the required consent controls are in place. This policy must be reviewed after the consent tool and tracking services are installed.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on a browser or device when you visit a website. Cookies can support essential functions, remember choices, measure website use, enable embedded content, and help deliver or measure advertising.

We may also use similar technologies, including pixels, tags, scripts, local storage, and unique online identifiers. In this policy, we refer to these technologies collectively as “cookies.”

2. Types of Cookies We May Use

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies support functions such as security, network management, page delivery, and storage of your cookie-consent choices. They are generally active without consent because the requested website service cannot operate correctly without them.

Analytics cookies

Analytics cookies help us understand how many people visit the website, which articles are read, how visitors find the website, and how the site performs. We plan to use Google Analytics 4 for these purposes after appropriate consent controls are implemented where required.

Advertising cookies and pixels

Advertising technologies help measure campaigns, limit repeated advertisements, understand actions taken after an advertisement, and create or refine advertising audiences. We plan to use the Meta Pixel for these purposes after appropriate consent controls are implemented where required.

Functional and embedded-media cookies

Articles may include videos or other content hosted by YouTube or another third party. These services may use cookies to provide the content, remember settings, measure viewing, or support advertising.

3. Cookies and Services Used by WoomNews

The exact cookies may change as providers update their services or as we add or remove website features. After the consent system is installed, the cookie inventory and this section must be checked against an actual scan of the website.

Google Search Console: We may use Search Console to review aggregated search and technical performance. Search Console itself does not ordinarily require a cookie to be placed on a visitor’s device merely because the visitor views WoomNews.

4. Your Cookie Choices

Once the consent system is implemented, non-essential analytics, advertising, and embedded-media cookies are intended to be activated only after you make the relevant choice where required by law. Until then, GA4 and Meta Pixel should remain inactive.

When the consent controls are available, you will be able to:

  • Accept all optional cookies;
  • Reject all optional cookies;
  • Select particular cookie categories; and
  • Change or withdraw your choice later through the “Cookie Settings” link, where available.

Rejecting optional cookies should not prevent you from reading ordinary articles, although embedded videos or certain optional features may not work until you enable the relevant category. Rejecting optional cookies should be as easy as accepting them.

5. Browser and Device Controls

Most browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies. Blocking all cookies may affect essential website functionality. Instructions vary by browser and device and are generally available in the browser’s privacy or help settings.

Browser privacy signals, including “Do Not Track,” are not interpreted consistently across the online industry. Once relevant advertising or sharing technologies are used, WoomNews must support legally required opt-out preference signals where applicable and technically supported.

6. Third-Party Services

Google, Meta, YouTube, and other third parties control the cookies and information they receive through their services. Their use of information is governed by their own privacy and cookie policies. You can review and adjust advertising or privacy settings directly with those providers.

7. Updates to This Cookie Policy

We may update this policy when our technology, providers, or legal obligations change. The latest version will appear on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
